Blackmore Ranch is a historic Southern California venue located in Murrieta, California.
The Blackmore Family, local to the Temecula Valley for five generations, has been instrumental in the building of the valley’s roads and cities. Best known as a “Horsepower Ranch” the Blackmore facility houses a museum quality motorcycle collection and many unique features from tracks to ponds, pristine manicured grounds and even a vintage CAT collection.
They’ve recently added a large new bathroom, a shower house and a laundry room, so there is absolutely no reason to suffer!

FAQ
Q1: What is the background of March Moto Madness?
A1: March Moto Madness is a loosely organized world-wide “movement” of Adventure Bike riders breaking out in early spring camping and riding events. It has expanded around the globe and now encompasses more than 22 countries. With the encouragement and support of the GS Giants, the California version has been an annual event since 2014.
Q2: What’s up with Thursday afternoon/evening?
A1: Back by popular demand, we will open up camping for Thursday evening. You are on your own for food and drinks Thursday night and Friday morning. Many participants traditionally make Thursday a potluck dinner event. The main advantage for arriving Thursday is that you can enjoy an extra full day of riding on Friday, or taking advantage of skills development with the Adventure Challenge course or off- road instruction. You may also simply enjoy some extra down time and fishing in the Blackmore ponds.
Q3: What are the Blackmore Ranch hours and Quiet Time?
Q3: Blackmore Ranch does have security gates. They will be closed at 10:00 PM in the evening and open at 7:00 AM in the morning. This is the Quiet Time for the Ranch. There will be a gate code available upon request if you need to go in/out during the Quiet Time.
Q4: I don’t camp. What are my options?
A4: There are numerous hotel options in nearby Murrieta and Temecula in all price ranges.
Q5: Where can I learn more about what to expect and how to plan?
A5: Stop in at BMW Motorcycles of Riverside for detailed Q&A, camping and packing tips, advanced downloads of GPS files, and more!
Q5: Can I ride the Adventure Challenge Course?
A5: Everyone who is a MMM participant can test and develop their skills on the Challenge Course. This course is a welcomed new addition for 2023 and is specially designed by Dennis Godwin. The purpose is to help develop and practice important off-road skills and will be useful for all levels of riders. Fun for newer riders and with challenging sections for the highly skilled. Dennis is famous for his course creations, which he had done for the GS Trophy competitions and numerous regional and national rallies. We are absolutely thrilled to have Dennis create a course for us at Blackmore Ranch!
Q6: Is there Off-Road Instruction?
A6: Join Us for Epic Riding Among Spring Wildflowers at a Historic Motorsports Ranch and training with MX Hall-of-Famer Rick Johnson.
Training is scheduled for Saturday and is limited to 20 riders. Details and registration can be found
here.
Q7: Will there be a pre-announced agenda so I can plan the timing of my rides?
A7: Yes, a daily itinerary will be published, and it is our intention to share it in advance. In general, dinner is between 6 and 7 pm and breakfast between 7 and 8 am. Quiet Time in the evening is 10 PM.
Q8: I heard that I can fish in the ponds on the ranch. Is that true?
Q8: Yes, you are welcome to fish in the ponds at Blackmore Ranch. They are stocked with bass and a few are getting to be decent size. CATCH and RELEASE ONLY. The owners may request that you relocate some fish from one pond to another. More info at the Ranch.
Q9: Will there be a raffle?
A9: Many more vendors have requested to be part of the 2023 MMM. Please support them!! We will have a raffle for donated items again this year and appreciate your participation. The raffle is helpful in keeping our overall prices down and gives attendees a chance to bring home some great items.
Q10: What is new at Blackmore Ranch?
Q10: SHOWERS and LAUNDRY!! Blackmore Ranch has built an amazing bathroom and shower house and a limited laundry facility in case you fall in the mud and have an urgent need for some clean clothes.
Q11: Is this event only for BMW riders?
A11: Absolutely Not! This is a fantastic event for any rider on any bike. There are plenty of local single track for dual sport riders, fire roads for adventure bikes of all makes and models, and street rides for everyone else. There will be a BDR movie night and live music for friends or family who would like to enjoy a Friday or Saturday evening out. We only ask that you have a love for two-wheels and an adventurous spirit!
Q12: What hashtags should I use when I post my photos and updates on social media?
A12: #MMM2023 #BLACKMORERANCH #BMWMCRIVERSIDE #BMWMOR #MAKELIFEARIDE
Q13: What is your cancellation policy?
A13: We understand that life gets in the way sometimes and we try to balance that against keeping our costs and fees very manageable. We can refund your registration fees up until April 27th with a $20 service charge. After that, we have made commitments to vendors we cannot back out of and cannot guarantee a refund.
